Facilities
In 1998 several new facilities were added to the church. The service of rededication was held on Sunday 13th of December 1998.
New Church Heating
Previously the Church was heated with inefficient and visually obtrusive overhead electrical heaters. They produced the toasted head, frozen feet syndrome. A gas fired central heating system with wall mounted convectors has now been installed.
Wheelchair access
The meeting room, kitchen and toilet all allow wheelchair access.
New Meeting Room
We removed the old Willis pipe organ to have the space to create a meeting room. In doing so we revealed an attractive stained glass window.
New Kitchen Area
Coffee is served after the weekly family communion service. This was previously prepared in the side chapel, an area not best suited to the task. The new improved vestry has a sink, water boiler and storage space. It is also adjacent to the meeting room.
Moving the drinks equipment has freed up the side chapel thus increasing the space during busy services. There are plans under consideration to join the side chapel to the main nave to increase the space available for services.
New Toilet
A toilet has been installed in the old vestry area.
